Bosco and I will be walking 5 km on our rural road in Wetaskiwin County, Alberta on 9 September 2018 in support of the Multiple Myeloma March. My husband, Martin Taves, died of an aggressive form of Multiple Myeloma on 31 October 2017. He only lived 56 days from the day of diagnosis so I would like to raise $112. Why $112? Because I am hoping in 2018, that patients like Martin will survive twice as many days as he did. One additional day with a loved one matters. If I quickly exceed my fundraising goal, then I would love to raise $168 or triple the number of days.
By sponsoring Bosco's and my 5 km walk, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients. Photos of our beautiful walk will be available on Instagram (@laura271gsd).
Please consider making a donation and helping me reach my fundraising goal!
