I can’t begin to describe the blow of being told you have an incurable cancer. I couldn’t help but feel that the countdown to the end of life had begun. I thought about the 10 year prognosis they gave me. I thought about my two daughters…will I be here when they go to university? Will I be at their weddings?
I thought about doing whatever I can to postpone my 10 year prognosis. I decided to pour my heart into raising awareness and funds for Myeloma Canada and myeloma research so one day the words ‘myeloma’ and ‘incurable’ will no longer be spoken together.
