Hiiiii guys!
So as some of you may already know, my father was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called multiple myeloma. He had numerous fractures in his ribs and underwent rounds and rounds of chemotherapy followed by two back to back stem cell transplants. Multiple myeloma was once traditionally considered a “death sentence” as it progresses fairly fast , but now MM is being described as a potentially curable disease and that’s all due to latest research and funding. Today, my dad is doing great! His numbers are at bay and is now starting maintenance.
In this family, no one fights alone. So, on June 11th Malorie and I will be be joining other cyclists in Vanleek Ontario as part of the Myeloma ride. The Myeloma ride is a national wide fundraiser in cities all across Canada cycling to raise funds for the pursuit of curing and preventing the disease, accelerating access to the best care, while empowering and improving the lives of all Canadians affected by multiple myeloma.
Malorie is so proud to be doing this and supporting her grandpa who she loves sooo sooo much. Your support would mean the world to us if you could donate a few bucks, or click the share button to spread awareness!
