Multiple myeloma is one of the most common blood cancers with a very low survival rate but many of you have probably never heard of it. The good news is that new treatments have been developed and patients can live for many years with high quality of life. The bad news is most patients will ultimately die of the cancer due to eventual drug resistance.
The Bramson Lab is working with thousands of researchers in Hamilton and abroad to develop better treatments that will overcome resistance. Many of the recent discoveries are demonstrating improvement of patient outcomes and there is great hope for the eventual cure.
Despite great progress, we need to continue research to achieve the best possible patient outcomes and ultimately achieve the cure.
My lab members and I are raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March that will take place on September 13, 2025 at Confederation Park in Hamilton.
By making a donation to me, you are supporting the pursuit of curing and preventing the disease, accelerating access to the best care, while empowering and improving the lives of all Canadians affected by myeloma.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
