In December, our mom was diagnosed with smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM), an early stage of multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. It’s been a big adjustment for our family and I’ve been looking for ways to learn more and build community with others affected by myeloma.

On October 5th, my sister and I will be participating in a 5km walk called the Multiple Myeloma March to help raise funds and support the efforts to cure and prevent the disease, improve access to care and enhance the quality of life of people with myeloma.
