In early 2022, our world was forever changed when my beloved wife, Christina Caplette, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. What began as some back pain and loss of energy, which we simply thought was part of the natural aging process, led to an emergency blood transfusion at Christmas that kept us from celebrating with family. We knew then that something was seriously wrong and started pushing for answers. Little did we know that the battle ahead was with cancer.

Now, two years later, Christina has won the first battle, and we are more determined than ever to make many more years together. Witnessing the physical and emotional toll it has taken on her and our family has ignited a fire within us to take action. We refuse to accept the status quo and are committed to fighting for a future free from the burden of multiple myeloma, not just for us, but for all families, caregivers, and people afflicted by this disease.

For my personal goals: I want to grow old with my wife and have her there for our children’s graduations, their first jobs, their first loves, and to help them navigate all the bumps in the road they will face in life.
