MJC 4 Ever!
Matt Chevalier was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in October 2019 along with Cardiac amyloidosis. He passed of a heart attack on November 10th, 2019. Matt and I participated in the Canadian Beer run at Ontario Place the past 4 years and so we have decided to organize a run this year in his honour. We will be running together on Saturday, September 14th, 2024. For those that cannot make it to Bronte Park but will be participating elsewhere, please let us know and we will connect you in for a beer toast via social media. See specifics for race and donations below.
By making a donation to our team, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients.
Race details: Saturday, September 14th, 2024.
Bronte Provincial Park, 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville, ON
There is lots of parking, washrooms and 5 km loop. We will give more specific directions on where we will meet closer to race day.
*Please note there is a $18 fee per car to enter the park, so please car pool where possible
Please wear a T-shirt from a past run to show your support.
Stick around after you finish to toast our Matt!
Donations: Please ask any friends of Matt's that cannot make the race to make a donation in his name through this website to ensure the donation goes directly to Myeloma Canada
