Multiple Myeloma March Windsor/Essex County

Straight and Marrow

This is our walk for George.

In 2022 our lives changed when we thought the back pain my Dad was experiencing was a tumor in his spine, a Plasmacytoma. It took 3 life changing surgeries, almost 5 months in 3 hospitals, 17 rounds of radiation, Paralyzed from the waist down, all during 3 Covid lockdowns.

Today he is on his feet, walking!

In March 2024 more scans revealed the cancer returned, this time was the diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma. Multiple tumors invading his body.

He is still our warrior, fights everyday. Chemotherapy every week until the stem cell transplant.

I know we are not the only family experiencing the pain and scares cancer leaves behind. This is our story, one of the many, this is our walk for George, our walk for all the ones fighting everyday.
