Since working at Myeloma Canada, I have had the privilege of getting to know our amazing community. Each year, throughout the Multiple Myeloma March season, our team travels to all corners of the country to support the volunteers who organize Marches in their local communities. This year once again, there is a chance we may not be able to get together physically, but technology will still allow us to walk together ... separately!
Like I did last year, I have decided to challenge myself to cycle or walk 50 km every week. My challenge will run for 20 weeks, until September 25, 2021.
20 x 50 km = 1000 km
I will therefore be walking and cycling 1000 km to support Canadians impacted by multiple myeloma! It is with this, dear friends, that I ask you to support my challenge by helping me raise $1 for every km I will travel for a total of $1000. I will update the kilometers on a regular basis. And I promise to be honest!
Although myeloma is the second most common form of blood cancer, it remains a complex and incurable disease. Recent advances in research have made it possible for those impacted to live better and longer lives, but the battle has not yet been won.
Each gift brings us closer to a cure.
Thank you for making myeloma matter.
I'm at 1000 km of 1000 km.
