In this 6th year of my being team captain, as well as co organizer of the Winnipeg walk, I am so grateful for the support I have received from so many. I have been so blessed in my journey to have met incredibly courageous myeloma patients. Unfortunately, I have known too many who lost their battle with this insidious cancer.
This year, I am asking my team to walk in memory of my beloved brother Ron who died on December 4th, 2022 after batting myeloma, as well as a secondary cancer related to myeloma. His courage and positive attitude were inspirational. The funds raised through this year's walk will ensure that research continues so hopefully a cure will be found for those living with myeloma.
I look forward to this year's walk which returns to the Norwood Community Centre and I hope you will join Dave and I as we walk to make myeloma matter!
