My mom, Sharon Reid, and I will be walking from my mom's house in Wheatley, Ontario to Martin's memorial tree at the Two Creeks Conservation area on Saturday, August 14, 2021. The 5.5 km roundtrip will be in support of the Multiple Myeloma March.
My husband, Martin Taves, died of an aggressive form of Multiple Myeloma on 31 October 2017. He only lived 56 days from the date of diagnosis so my mom and I would like to raise $224. Why $224? We are hoping in 2021, that patients like Martin will survive four times as many days as he did. One additional day with a loved one matters. If we quickly exceed our modest fundraising goal then we would love to raise $280 or five times the number of days.
By sponsoring our 5.5 km walk, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Multiple Myeloma patients.
Please consider making a donation and helping us to reach our fundraising goal!
Everyone who donates will be entered into a random draw to win one of four Martin & Bosco calendars for 2022 (Canadian & international shipping is included). Sharon selected the thirteen photos so it's a Mom's Choice edition of the calendar.
I'm at 0 km of 5.5 km km.
