Hello Everyone,
On December 6th, 2018 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma at the age of 34. At the time I'd never heard of this type of Cancer and my life drastically changed overnight. I have since had 17 weeks of chemotherapy and had a stem cell transplant in 2019.
I did start a slow relapse from mid 2020 to January 2023 and went back into weekly chemotherapy injections for 23 weeks with immunotherapy injections and as of July 2023 I'm in the maintenance phase of my new treatment plan and get the immunotherapy injection every 28 days. Multiple Myeloma is incurable at this time and the monthly immunotherapy injections are keeping the Multiple Myeloma in check and my biggest hope is that a cure will be found soon so that I can live my life cancer free.
That is why I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March. This is my fifth year participating in the Myeloma March and we are back to walking in person for a 5km walk on September 30th, 2023. Last year we were so touched by everyone's generosity and support with your donations and we hope you can help us meet our goals again this year!
By making a donation to me, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients. As a stem cell transplant recipient, I've already benefited from the research that has already been done. In participating and fundraising for this march, I am literally walking for my life
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
I'm at 0 km of 5 km.
