After a year off we are back raising money again in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March in Newmarket on September 24th. Please join us! As you may or may not know, my wife Tanya was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in May 2019 after feeling very run down and having rib pain ahead of our March Break Disney cruise. This was a shocker to us and her doctors as this is a common blood cancer for a 70 year old but very rare for an otherwise healthy 37 year old with no history of this. Unfortunately there is no cure but we remain confident in Tanya's care team at the Princess Margaret Hospital and the many medical advancements that will hopefully help to cure Tanya and many others in the years to come. Tanya is a special person with an amazing network of friends, family and colleagues that have really been there for her and us and I could not be more thankful. Tanya has also been a great advocate for herself and others with Multiple Myeloma and has connected with younger patients like herself from around the world. She is also an active volunteer with Myeloma Canada and is on the Patient Advisory Council. These donations really make a difference and this walk really brought her strength and encouragement before her stem cell transplant and we continue to celebrate it each year! Thank you also for all of your donations in prior years!
If you cannot make a donation, please consider joining Tanya's Tribe (our team) for the walk and reaching out for other donations. By making a donation, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients like Tanya.
Sincerely,
Adam Koroneos
