I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March.
The 5km walk is this Sunday October 1st at Steckle Heritage Farm in Kitchener.
By making a donation to me, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients.
Myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells, which are a type of white blood cell made in the bone marrow. Myeloma cells prevent the normal production of antibodies, leaving your body’s immune system weakened and susceptible to infection.
Every day, 11 Canadians are diagnosed with myeloma, yet in spite of its growing prevalence, the disease remains relatively unknown. To date there is no cure for myeloma, however advancements in research and treatment are enabling those impacted by myeloma to live better and longer lives than ever before. More research leading to new therapies or new combinations of therapies are required to find a cure.”
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
