I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March on August 20 in Thunder Bay. I will be walking in memory of my husband, Jerry Vanderwey, who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2012. He had 2 autologous stem cell transplants at Princess Margaret and he participated in a clinical trial at our Northern Cancer Centre. Even though he was winning his fight against Multiple Myeloma, he lost his battle against a rare brain virus. Jerry truly believed that there was hope that some day there would be a cure for Multiple Myeloma.
By making a donation to me, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
