I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March.
I was diagnosed with myeloma two years ago and today, after surgery, chemo treatments and a stem cell transplant I am living well and in remission. The gift of life that has been granted me was only made possible because of advances made in the treatment of multiple myeloma. There is yet no cure for multiple myeloma, it remains a terminal cancer but because of current advances in research and treatment there is hope that a cure is on the horizon.
By donating you are furthering research and giving hope to those living with myeloma of an extended lifespan and I hope that one day soon when a person is diagnosed with myeloma that it will be described to them as a treatable and manageable disease rather than a terminal cancer.
