Hello friends,
This is the first time Scarborough is hosting a Myeloma March.
As most of you know, I was diagnosed 7 years ago with two Rare Auto Immune Diseases MPGN in connection with MGUS which eventually put me into Kidney failure.
My life has always had poetry. In the same week that I was to receive a Kidney transplant, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma . My treatment plan consisted of 5 rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and in December 2023 a stem cell transplant. There was a challenge during my treatments as I also had to receive dialysis, however, I pulled through and received the goods news that the transplant had worked and I had a Very Good Partial Response. As there is no cure with Multiple Myeloma, research has brought forth incredible treatments to live a better quality of life.
God has blessed me with an incredible lady, that is always by my side walking this journey with me. As difficult as it is, we always manage to smile, and take this head on with grace.
I'm excited to join the good fight in raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March.
By making a donation, you are supporting the pursuit of curing and preventing the disease, accelerating access to the best care, while empowering and improving the lives of all Canadians affected by myeloma.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
I'm at 0 km of 5 km.
