Marche Myélome Multiple Newmarket

Tanya's Tribe

We need to fundraise for a cure or more treatments! In May 2019, the team captain of Tanya's Tribe received the shocking diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer. She received chemotherapy at Southlake in Newmarket and underwent a stem cell transplant at Princess Margaret Hospital last September 2019. She is doing well so far with recent stable numbers and we will celebrate when she reaches a complete remission soon enough.

Myeloma is a blood cancer that's currently incurable and while patients reach remission they all inevitably relapse at some point and will need more treatments or another transplant.

We are raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March.

This year it is virtual or you can participate locally in your neighbourhood with your friends and family.

Adam, Tanya and the girls will be hosting participants that want to join their walk on Sunday September 26 at 11am (weather permitting) to walk the neighbourhood and the nearby nature reserve and have drinks and snacks for participants on the driveway. PLEASE LET TANYA OR ADAM KNOW IF YOU WILL BE JOINING THE WALK IN PERSON.

By making a donation, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients like Tanya.

Please make a donation today and help us to reach our fundraising goal!

As it has been a difficult year for some financially due to Covid, please do not feel obligated to donate if you cannot at this time. We are happy for any support.
