I'm raising money in support of Myeloma Canada and The Ottawa Hospital by participating in Steps to a Cure! The Ottawa-Gatineau Walk for Myeloma.

By donations to the event, you are helping fund clinical research and supports advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian patients living with myeloma. Multiple Myeloma remains a relatively unknown and rare form of blood cancer. Supporting research and raising awareness of the disease is critical.

I've been in treatment for MM since 2017 & new treatments are very important to me and other patients. I relapsed in 2021 and had to change to a new line of drugs.This is one of the big challenge with Multiple Myeloma where treatments do not last, the disease changes, the drugs stop working for an individual (a replase). So the path forward is continue to move on to these new drugs .

Fortunately, patient outcomes are MUCH better than even just 10 years ago. This is very much due to research into novel treatments that you are supporting.
