I'm raising money in support of Myeloma Canada and The Ottawa Hospital by participating with my father in Steps to a Cure! The Ottawa-Gatineau Walk for Myeloma.
My dear mother, Kay Cardinal, passed away this past January after an incredibly valiant and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. We walk in memory of her and all others suffering with Multiple Myeloma to give them potential for hope in the future of eliminating this awful disease.
My mother was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in Winter 2020. In her case, the myeloma attacked her bones, causing debilitating pain and random bone breaks to occur without proper medication and treatment. She bravely fought through three separate chemotherapies, immunotherapy, stem cell transplant, innumerable radiations, and surgery for her leg. Without the development of myeloma treatments and therapies, the difficulties and suffering of myeloma patients like her would be even more devastating.
By making a donation, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
I'm at 0 km of 10 km.
