I'm raising money in support of Myeloma Canada and The Ottawa Hospital by participating with my father in Steps to a Cure! The Ottawa-Gatineau Walk for Myeloma.
My mother, Kay Cardinal, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in Winter 2020. In her case, the myeloma attacks her bones, causing debilitating pain and random bone breaks to occur without proper medication and treatment. She has bravely fought through three separate chemotherapies, stem cell transplant, innumerable radiations, and surgery for her leg. After two and a half years of remission, her myeloma came back very strongly this spring. Without the development of myeloma treatments and therapies, the difficulties and suffering of her and other myeloma patients would be devastating.
By making a donation to me, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients like my mother.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
