Let’s bike to beat myeloma!
In-peson Ride Events
If you're wondering whether the Myeloma Canada Ride is right for you, here’s what you need to know:
The Ride is a fun, non-competitive event for cyclists aged 18 and older. It’s an opportunity to make memories while riding a scenic route and raising funds for a great cause. A $60 registration fee applies for participants of the live event. This fee helps cover essential costs like permits, insurance, and meals. The registration fee is for in-person events only.
To ensure both safety and enjoyment, we recommend that participants have a basic fitness level that allows for comfortable cycling between 20 to 80 km. The Ride offers two route options: a shorter, more leisurely route (20–40 km), and a longer, more challenging route (40–80 km) so it is important that you are comfortable cycling either of these distances. If either distance feels too challenging, please join us for our Virtual Ride option instead.
To help you decide which route option is right for you, please check out the route maps on your community ride page. Remember, this is not a race, so we encourage you to ride at yourn pace and make use of the rest stops along the way!
Pre-designed Virtual Ride Locations
This year, participants have more freedom than ever to get involved in a way that fits their lives. Alongside seven official in-person Ride events, we’ve created six virtual locations across Canada, each with pre-planned short and long routes that you can ride at your own pace. You can gather your own team, choose a day that works for you, and follow one of these mapped routes to create your own Ride experience, combining the flexibility of a virtual event with the excitement and purpose of riding together for a great cause. Simply register your team for the location of your choosing and plan your own Ride event!
There are no age restrictions or registration fee for pre-designed Virtual Ride locations.
Virtual Ride Option
We recommend the Virtual Ride for those who may not live near an in-person ride or pre-designed Virtual Ride locations, don't feel confident cycling between 20 to 80 km in a day, or wish to host your own cycling challenge by creating a route in their community, cycling at home on a stationary bike, or participating in a gym-sponsored cycle-thon.
There are no age restrictions or registration fee for the Virtual Ride.
