Frequently asked questions
1. Do I need to register online before the event?
Yes, please. We ask that you register online prior to the Ride in the location that you plan on participating. It only takes a few minutes and ensures that we have all the information we need to plan your event.
Registration is $60 per rider for in-person events.
Pre-designed Virtual Locations
This year, participants have more freedom than ever to get involved in a way that fits their lives. Alongside seven official in-person Ride events, we’ve created six virtual locations across Canada, each with pre-planned short and long routes that you can ride at your own pace.
You can gather your own team, choose a day that works for you, and follow one of these mapped routes to create your own Ride experience, combining the flexibility of a virtual event with the excitement and purpose of riding together for a great cause.
The Virtual Ride is designed for riders who are unable to participate in an in-person event or pre-designed Virtual Ride and wish to create their own cycling challenge. There is no registration fee for the Virtual Ride.
2. How do I see who has donated to me or my team?
- Log in to your Participant Centre.
- Donations may be made to an individual participant or directly to a team.
- Click on the “Home” tab and scroll to “Personal Donations.” To view team donations, click on the “My Team” tab.
3. Someone made a donation to my team, but I can’t see it. Why?
Donors may choose to remain anonymous by hiding their name, donation amount, or both.
Donations appear on the page where they were made, but all contributions are included in the team total.
Example: If Mary and Mark each receive $20, their pages show $20 and the team total is $40. If $40 is donated directly to the team, the team page shows $40 while individual pages show $0.
4. How do I find a participant or team to donate to?
Visit www.myelomaride.ca and click “Donate.” You can search by participant, team, or city, then select “Donate Now.”
5. Can I make a donation by cash, cheque, or phone?
Yes! Offline donations can be mailed using the Offline Donation Form.
