Chain Breakers

Glenda was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in May 2022. It is a cancer of the plasma cells that are produced in the bone marrow and currently there is no cure - only treatment. We are encouraged that there are new treatment options, drug trials and drugs being developed. We are raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Myeloma Canada Ride. John will be riding and leading our team the Chain Breakers in the Richmond 70 km ride on May 28th. The name was chosen as a nod to one of the blood tests called light chains that Glenda had done to monitor the status of her myeloma. There are currently 5 others riding with John. There are 2 routes for the ride, 30 and 70km. If you would like to join me and the Chain breakers team there is a $50 registration fee that goes towards the cost of putting on the ride, refreshments etc. Alternatively, you can join "Virtual Chain Breakers" - a team for those that would like to ride and support this great cause, but can't get to Richmond on May 28th.
